Refined Castor Oil:
CAS Number: 8001-79-4 Castor oil is obtained from the fruit seed of castor (Ricinus communis L.) a large shrub that grows mainly in India, Brazil and China. The seed has an oil content of 40-50%. The quality manly used is first pressed, known as fist special grade (FSG), it is a light-colored liquid, yellowish, with a characteristic odour and high viscosity. It is the only oil containing fatty acid ricinoleic characterized by the presence of an OH group (more than 80%) which gives rise to the properties that make castor an exclusive oil. Moreover the high reactivity of the OH group (hydroxyl) leads to a high range of products such as dehydrated castor oil, hydrogenated castor oil, 12-hydroxystearic acid, sebacic acid, ricinoleic acid. This is an oil wit flexibility and ductility and It is mainly used for the manufacturer of industrial resins, plastics, elastomers, dielectric, rubber products in general.

Oleic Acid:
Oleic Acid occurs as a colourless to pale yellow, oily liquid when freshly prepared, but upon exposure to air it gradually absorbs oxygen and darkens. It is an unsaturated acid obtained from fats. When strongly heated in air, it decomposes and produces acrid vapours. Its specific gravity is about 0.895. It is practically insoluble in water, but is miscible with alcohol, with ether, and with fixed and volatile oils.
Function: Component in the manufacture of other food grade additives; defoaming agent; lubricant; binder.
Oleic acid is a fatty acid that occurs naturally in various animal and vegetable fats and oils. It is an odorless, colorless oil, although commercial samples may be yellowish. In chemical terms, oleic acid is classified as a monounsaturated omega-9 fatty acid, abbreviated with a lipid number of 18:1 cis-9.
